WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL – Lloyd named to OUA all-rookie team

Gryphon Athletics is pleased to announce that first-year women’s volleyball player Brooke Lloyd (Whitby, Ont.) has been named to the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) All-Rookie Team.
Gryphon Athletics is pleased to announce that first-year women’s volleyball player Brooke Lloyd (Whitby, Ont.) has been named to the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) All-Rookie Team.
Lloyd, a 6’0” right side out of Sinclair high school in Whitby enjoyed a successful season with the Gryphons. The Communications Marketing Management student averaged 2.4 points per game in 60 games played this season. She finished as the third highest scorer on the team and chipped in 99 digs on the season.
The Whitby native previously spent five years with the Durham Attack volleyball club winning a provincial silver and national bronze medal in 2007, as well as a provincial bronze medal and fifth place finish a the national championships in 2008. She also medaled twice with her high school at the OFSAA Championships finishing with a bronze in 2007 and a gold medal in 2008.
The future looks bright for this young Gryphon star.
