W.F. Mitchell Athletics Centre

 

 

 

 

The Athletics Centre was opened in 1957 when the student population of OAC, OVC and the MacDonald Institute was around 1,250. The major features were a triple gym, an ice surface approximately 185 by 65, and a five lane 25 yard pool with a 10 foot diving board. There were a number of classrooms associated with the Physical Education School built as part of the project. Since then a number of renovations and upgrades have taken place.
